Cellulite is the lumpy substance resembling cottage cheese that is commonly found on the thighs, stomach, and butt. Cellulite is caused by the collection of fatty cells that push against the connective tissue beneath a person's skin, which causes the surface of the skin to dimple or pucker like the surface of an orange peel. Cellulite is much more common in women than in men because of differences in the way fat, muscle, and connective tissue are distributed in men and women's skin. Although female hormones may play a role in contributing to this fat distribution, cellulite is not treatable by hormone therapy. Cellulite can make you dread wearing summer clothes and bathing suits that may expose the areas of your body that are most susceptible. At Natural Look we understand that this is especially delicate area of concern for many people and offer some promising treatments that can help reduce the "orange peel" effect.
